Innovations in the publishing industry are not confined to the digital sector, but are also to be found in print. In order to demonstrate this even more strongly to a wider public worldwide, the World Printers Forum has launched the Print Innovation Awards.
The “Print Innovation Awards” competition honours the most highly innovative print ads as well as newspaper and magazine publishers’ products worldwide and is open to newspaper and magazine publishers as well as advertisers or advertising agencies. On 31 August 2018, on the registration deadline for the first WAN-IFRA Print Innovation Awards competition ended.
There were 54 registrations from the 19 countries: Austria, Cameroon, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, Pakistan, Puerto Rico, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom.
Meanwhile the jury, composed of the World Printers Forum Board members (see list below), evaluated the entries and awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze prizes in six categories.
Judges score each entry based on outlined criteria. All jury scores were combined to create an overall score for each entry. The scores were then totalled and the highest scoring entries determined the category winners.
Judging Criteria were: Innovation, Creativity, Excellence, and Customer Relevancy and Value.
Please find here the list of finalists of the Print Innovation Awards 2018 competition.
On 9 October 2018, finalists will be honoured on stage at the Networking Night of IFRA World Publishing Expo 2018 in Berlin. At this event it will be disclosed who is a Gold, Silver or Bronze winner.
