    Vita Andrew Green

    Andrew Green is Global Head of Audience Solutions for Ipsos, overseeing audience measurement services in 80 countries. Over more than 35 years he has worked in six countries, heading up research functions at media agencies ZenithOptimedia, Carat and OMD; he also held a senior role at Nielsen in Asia. He joined Ipsos in 2007.

    In 1998 Advertising Age named him as one of its Media Innovators for his work helping to set up television audience research in China.

    He has written or contributed to three books; most recently From Primetime to My Time: Audience Measurement in the Digital Age, a guide to the past, present and possible future of media audience measurement.

    According to WARC, Andrew has published more than 100 articles and conference papers. He was WARC’s most downloaded author in 2010 and the second most read in 2011 and 2012.

    Vita Moderation: Mary Van Meter

    Mary L. Van Meter is founder and publisher of Newspapers &
    Technology (News & Tech, at newsandtech.com), located in the
    Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Van Meter started her career in cable
    television franchising and rose through the ranks of United Press
    International to regional bureau manager. Seeing a need for
    technology news, she founded News & Tech in 1987. News & Tech is
    the premier resource for industry insight and tech trends in
    newspaper, magazine, digital and hybrid operations.
    Van Meter has lectured at New York University and has been a
    valued board member of several newspaper organizations.

    Vita Dr Neil Thurman

    Dr Neil Thurman is Professor of Communication in the Department of Communication Studies and Media Research, LMU Munich. Dr Thurman's research focuses on the changes taking place in news production and consumption as a result of the internet. It has been covered by media outlets includingThe Wall Street Journal,The Guardian, and Le Figaro; and been honoured by the International Symposium on Online Journalism in Austin, Texas, where he won 'best paper' over four consecutive years.

    Vita Martin Schwarz

    From 2006 to 2017 Martin Schwarz was Editor in Chief of 4c, a trade magazine for print, design and digital media. In 2016 he was awarded “Specialzed Journalist of the Year” by the “German Association of Trade Press” for outstanding journalistic achievements.

    Since 2017 Martin Schwarz is head of digital products and digital media at WEKA Industrie Medien, heading the digital media strategy of this Austrian publishing house with its 14 print magazines and 16 web portals.
